The Edris residence is a wonderful example of a uniquely dynamic custom home design that blends beautifully with the surrounding environment, a trademark of Tucson Architect, Marc Soloway. Set into rising desert terrain, the sweeping roof overhangs with metal fascia and stacked stone accents visually blend the home into its surroundings. Stacked stone wall segments enter the Great Room, and together with floor-to-ceiling window walls, provide a minimalist interface between inside and outside. Curved ceiling soffits combine with travertine tile or wood flooring to provide visual separations in the expansive Great Room. The kitchen is open and inviting; décor modern yet warm, with light woods and stainless steel accents. Stone pavers of the Patio, together with stacked stone or stucco planters, bring desert flora right up to the home, creating a perfect transition between the custom homes Southwest Contemporary architecture and the native landscape.
